Taking Syria Seriously
The violence in the streets will cease to persist because the protesters will no longer exist, making the state no stranger to anger and danger
However delirious they are serious and will do harm to all who are armed and are thought to desire to overthrow the status quo
They wish to leave the Arab League in a hot breeze in order to do as they please where they are in awe of no law that stands in the way of what they say
Their sovereignty is based on complete authority where those opposed will be hushed, crushed and mashed into the ashes of dust in disgust
Here as feared muzzled Muslims are not allowed to gather in crowds with which to shout out loud. They are to be silenced with violence, leaving words never to be heard
Here a coup becomes you, the Arab Spring is seen as obscene and censorship is considered the best way to deal with loose lips that sink ships where either you are found drowned or you swim with the rest of them
The party got started with a demonstration of self-immolation which set the stage for a day of rage whose fire has yet to expire. The government has no doubts about snuffing it out
The people are born to be baptized under Ba’athism where upon the event horizon political pluralism is brought to a single point of singularity where the majority is ruled by a socialistic minority
It’s a country not hard to find because it exists on the outskirts of the Ironshirts whose famed aim was to bring order to its borders. It looks now to be an island onto itself to be run by the gun
The violence in the streets will cease to persist to exist when Syria takes its people to be serious and not delirious. Until then the state will be no stranger to anger and danger
